CLICHES IN PROFESSION CUSTOMS LITERATURE IN FRENCH: CLASSIFICATION, TRANSLATION ASPECT

Cliches are studied for a long period of time, the problems of semantic peculiarities of clichés and their types are considered in works by Russian and foreign scientists. Profession-oriented literature with its stylistic, morphological peculiarities is of great interest for linguists, examining the texts of economic, juridical, medical and other spheres of activity. Profession-oriented customs literature reflects the main aspects of intensively developing customs sphere and contains, besides professional terminology, semantic, lexical and stylistic peculiarities. The present research aims at the study of phraseology units, their structural-semantic peculiarities, role in providing information, using as a means of language expressiveness in professional customs literature and efficient impact on a potential reader. For research of clichés of professional customs literature the author used 14 publications in French language «OMD Actualités», by the central printing office of the World customs organization, printedin two official WTO languages – French and English. The research is based on comparative method, syntactical and structural-semantic analysis of customs texts. In the research the author drew up a morphological classification of revealed clichés – verbal, adverbial,substantive; determined the types of phraseological units –idioms, unities and combinations, as well as phraseological expressions; revealed proverbs, often found phrases. It is pointed out that if translated to Russian there is a chance of semantic calque, some phraseological units in Russian translation change lexical compound and word order. Structural analysis of phraseological units enabled to point out their semantic divisibility, to reveal their constant and variable components – such information discloses the process of new clichés formation and is of interest for translation science. Research of phraseological expressions in professional customs texts, their classification, semantic-structural analysis enable to conclude about their functional orientation, original and effective method of information provision, about their effect on formation of stylistics of the analyzed profession oriented literature.
